[insert some kind of birthday-related music here]

and I just can't seem to get enough ofToday, ticalc.org turns four years old.
Good job, ticalc.org! We couldn't have celebrated this without you. :)

Also, today is my first year anniversary of working here, but nobody cares about that, so I'll just say that this is my 222nd news item and that all you people rock for putting up with me for the first 221 *g*.

I have no clue how many files we have in the database right now, but I'd guess it's someplace around 12,500. Steve is spending his time at Microsoft's world headquarters in Redmond (that lucky hax0r), and he would be the one to know the exact number.

Thank you to all our fans and readers who keep this site going. It's been a great time since then, and lots of great and not-so-great things have happened. We couldn't have done all this without you. Thank you thank you thank you. Each and every one of you. Much love.

Update (Phil): Nick is a very bad guesser. As of right now, there are 11,866 files in the ticalc.org filelist database table.

Update (Nick): :(

Did you know that every time that song is sung on air or in a movie, you have to pay some family for the copyright for using it?

Wasn't that part of a question on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"

Didn't the original song go "Good morning to all..." or something like that?

I suppose... I never watch that show, it always turns out the same. I think I just read about it somewhere. And, yes, it did start "Good morning to all", and the author changed it later.

Yep, and as usual, the Cubs lose. I was thinking of going to Wrigley Field, but I decided not to. I guess it was a good thing; I turned off the TV after they started losing 8 to 1 and Sammy Sosa struck out.

Then again, I shouldn't be wasting my time with the Cubs right now... :-)

Are you kidding? Nobody, EVER, goes to Wrigley Field to see a Cubs game.

You go for the atmosphere, to socialize with your friends, to soak in some fresh air, and if you're in the stands you get the added benefit of getting a nice tan.

This is coming from someone on the North Side: the Cubs suck hard, and while they do suck, there's nothing one can do but sell out game after game and enjoy the day and weather with your friends.

Just hope there's no rain delays :)

Yeah, I would *NEVER* go to a Cubs game by myself. It was part of some guy's party, but we pressured him into watching M:I-2 instead.

There are times when peer pressure is good... :-)

I hate the Cubs. As for MI:2... they could have gotten the movie over with a lot shorter if they just said "Stuff Blows Up. The End"

I, too, hate the cubs, but maybe thats because i'm from st. louis and the Cardinasl kick so much a$$ anyways. But, happy bday to ticalc.org, you guys have built this up to THE premier site for calcs online. i used to be a dimti guy, but their server troubles have really turned me off, so, thanks for doing such a great job for so long.

I used to love Dim-TI, but one day it just died, and ticalc.org was there to replace it, and that was that. I haven't seriously used Dim-TI in more than a year.

Rgb9000 Account Info

This post is just a test to see if you can get a smaller message window. Its like the limbo--how loooow can you gooooo!

ANyway, I think i'm the first to say "HAppy belated birthday!" Although, i dont know if that is a true statement... The "birth" part just doesnt make any sense. Was TI calc.org REALLY BORN?? I mean...well, i cant get into the grizly details of child birth on this family oriented website, but it just doesnt make much sense. Was it ever...conceived? I guess it was concieved, in the minds of its original makers. But you could argue it either way, but not on this post, buddy boy,for if the reply window got any smaller, it would be one character to a line.

As for dim-ti...Archives are a bit old...Um...I was there last week and I saw something so...primitive, so ancient, so outdated it belongs in a meuseum. Thats right folks...PHOENIX 3.0!

The only grouch i have with this site is news and file updates are always far behind the other sites. Ti-fr or TInews.net will always have the news on some big program a DAY or so before ti calc.org has it. I realize that there are problably a plethera of emails coming in, for all diffrent calcs and some junk too, but...well never mind. Maybe we need a staff member whose sole purpose would be to post files. REad mail, post, repeat. Read mail, post, repeat. Then Nick could JUST post news. THen i could become a program reviewer, something i always wanted to be, but was denied without reason. Then money would grow on trees, and computers would be free and...

I think Nick needs an assistant. A secretary or something, who could filter his E-mail and keep an eye out for news. That way, he could have a life and still keep us geeks happy.

P.S. I'm also curious about how thin these messages can get. Post a reply!
