Jass for CrASH v1.0 Released
Posted by Nick on 11 May 2000, 02:25 GMT
Vasantha Crabb has released Jass for CrASH v1.0. This program, unlike its slightly failed predecessor, has all the bugs fixed in it and everything should be hunky-dory now. For those of you who don't know, Jass is a program for CrASH that runs OS-82 and Ash v2.0 programs. This should have very good emulation, and it's definitely worth checking out not only for the greatness of its code but also for the few games that lacked a place in the spotlight due to their being on less "popular" shells. I was talking with Andy on the phone just the other day, thinking that it would be really cool to see this again, and it's great that it's popped up again for all us older calculator addicts to feast on.

Cool. Too bad the only person I know with an 82 has an old 82...its memory resets if you drop it :(
That, and somehow I suspect there'll be more great shell news coming later this month.

Does anyone know if this can be done on the TI-83 so all SOS games run in Ion. I think it would be cool, but there was probably some technical reason for Joe not to include it when he first released Ion. Oh well.

* This is old news!
* Nick, haven't you used "hunky-dory" before?
* ION 82 anyone?

It is my understanding that the TI-82 is very simililar to the TI-83 in that they have the same processor, screen size, and memory capacity. Using emulation technology similar to that used in Jass for CrASH that emulated earlier shells for the TI-82, would it be possible to develop programs that would emulate shells for the TI-83 such as SOS or ION for the TI-82?
