TurboSoft Releases Aerox Demo
Posted by Nick on 10 April 2000, 23:38 GMT

Aerox DemoTurboSoft has released a demo for the 89, written in C, called Aerox. Some of the more unique features in this program are the fact that it's three-dimensional, extremely fast response times, fast speeds (read: F-Zero), a speedometer, and the fact that, yes, you *will* fly off some of the higher hills if you go too fast.

What's that? You want to download more quality programs from this fine author? Find them at the TurboSoft Homepage.

a patch to run asm programs without doors? doorsos is pretty much *already* a patch to run asm programs. what exactly do you have in mind? (btw, you don't have to use doors-explorer every time, if that's what you mean)

Get the latest version of DoorsOS, UniversalOS, or TEOS

DoorsOS IS a patch so that you can run assembly programs on the calc, since the built in support is pretty crappy. As for Doors Explorer, I kinda think its a good thing to use. It keeps my home screen clear from a bunch of words, plus I can *hide* and password protect all of my programs. That can come in handy sometimes...

Is this board being run by fifth grade students now?
I've noticed the quality of this board going steadily down hill.

Flame at will, but keep in mind:

You aren't the only one to notice the trend. Some of the more recent articles were written in a manner that would suggest the author had not yet completed middle school.

My interest in the article and respect for the author is directly proportional to his writing skill.

I'd say Nick probably had a long day and was short on the one substance that fuels America today: caffine.

I believe you misspelled caffeine.

As you said in your flame, "The height of the flames are inversely proportional to the intelligence of the flamer."

I'll just let you figure that one out:P

In any case, recent studies have shown that over 70% of high school graduates have reading/writing skills of the 7th grade level or less... go figure:P

As noted above, yes I was low on caffeine that day. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, the results are disastrous.

I decided to reword one of the sentences and it didn't turn out.. quite... right. :) That's fixed now. Thanks :)

Well, I hope you didn't take it as a personal attack, because it was not intended that way. I am as bad (and usually worse) as anybody with grammer and spelling mistakes. What I was trying to point out was the lack of procedure. I would have thought that each article would be proofed by someone before being posted. If not, I would have thought that another member would have at least read it after being posted, and seen the boo-boo.

Anyhow... I keep dropping by, so it can't be that bad. <G>

Right. We all make mistakes in our *grammar* sometimes.

Oops! I pooped in my pants.
TipDS

He he he. Busted. On the other hand, I am representing myself, not an organization. For example, you wouldn't expect perfect grammAr or spelling in a quick note from your lawyer friend. On the reverse side of the coin: If your friend's firm had these problems in their advertisements, one would question the firm's attention to detail. They would probably loose business.

And on and on and on... I go,

You spelled 'grammar' wrong... oh well, it doesn't matter, as you yourself say you're a bad speller...

So... i wonder what this has to do with Aerox? Hmmmm...

Has anyone else noticed that their calculator seems to slow down after playing Aerox? I played it many times and afterward, my calculator seemed to run much slower until I reset it. Also, I had odd crashes involving linking to another TI-89. Could it be possible that Aerox leaves behind something in the interrupts or timers that slows down the calculator?
