Is this site a tad biased to Bomberman?

I think they just make really good bomber man clones, so that Nick is obliged to cover the programs. Besides, what else is there for awesome games coming out right now? Oh, and be thankful you even get as much news as we do; we should be grateful to these people's committment and avoid criticism as much as possible. For crying out loud they aren't getting paid and we sure as /-/311 ain't there bosses. Just had to get a little rant our there. Sorry. No offense.

By the way, if you are wondering what "/-/311" is, think about the context and the no swearing rule.

Actually, I was at school when this happened. I just got home and read the item.
I wanted to post on a lot of neat things I've found, but I have a chem test (take-home) to do and a lot of other homework, so I'm going to report on it tomorrow.

Hope you guys are patient :)

A side note: you can say "hell" as long as it's not in a spiteful context, i.e. "go to hell." Saying I'm the "ticalc.org staff member from hell" is okay, though :)

As I don't listen to U.S. network television I won't hear anything :)

Language you wouldn't hear on US network television?

Well... that rules out just about nothing... :)

Is it me, or does this file get recognized everytime Greg Jones compiles Bombery Boy?

I think it's a little slow compared to bigdyna (even in the higher speed). But there are some things I like about bomberman , like the pretty presentation menus , highscores , the lot of things you see while playing
.Ok , both games are differents , but a fusion between bigdyna and this bomberman would be great , I think.

hey guys i need some help...i sent all the 5 files (bomber.89z, bomberd1.89z, bomberd2.89z, bomberd3.89z, and bomberd4.89z), but when i go to run the bomber.89z file, it says "library not found: bomber89"....what do i do?

since the program file itself is a library, you can't archive it, and it doesn't work with TEOS...

Oh bah. If it doesn't work, fix it yourself. The source code is there, so the opportunity is available to you.

Yes, I'm serious. If you're that lazy, and you want someone else to do all the work for you (which seems to be your attitude towards the whole thing, especially on your page), then that doesn't show a lot of you as a person.

"PORT THIS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO!"

Re: Re: AMS 2.03

Hehe, heck his complaint isn't even about something important. The game plays fine on HW2 calcs, just not on AMS 2.03 which usually also means it don't work on HW1 ams 2.03

In any case, sorta off-topic but, Tom, where are you!:P I still wake up at nights sweaty and drooling after having a dream that SF2 was adjusted to play on ams 2.03 and I could fit all the chars in the ram:P

Yah... I'm weird... and yes, I'm one of those guys who has a power extender for his calc so I can use it while recharging the batteries:P

And as for BlueCalx comment about the "port cause I don't want to," not that I approve of his comment at all, but the real reason why some people ask for ports (as the same reason of my mentions above) is because

"port this because I am too incompetent and stupid to do so myself... plus I'm lazy and procrastinate so much that I try to hold it cause I don't want to get up and go to the bath room..." We just don't say that blatantly:P

And for those of you who think it's hypocritical for me to decry such an act while I do the same thing myself, I do enough with my real life, and I also don't care as much as most people do about getting this stuff ported as I haven't played a game on my real calculator in months. Possibly even a year by now.

Believe me, I empathize with everyone, and I hate what TI's done to everything, but I lack the time and the ability to care to put a decent effort forth.

Also, I'd have to learn ASM :P

umm... isn't being on the internet "real life"? I mean, you're still sitting there on the computer typing stuff out, it's not like you're in some parallel universe. Sorry for the off-topic post, I just hate it when people refer to things they do away from their computer as "real life." :P

Well lets look at it this way.....Most ppl dont know ASM for the Ti-89 and most ppl either dont have the tim eot learn it or are too stupid or comprehend it....I'd learn it but i diont have any time and I cant find a tutorial that actually works....

Wow, i always love getting yelled at. Sound like my teacher! :-) Now I guess I'll go learn to program in asm and then release my own bomberboy and then get yelled at for releasing it without permission!

yeah, and you'd think someone could simply tell you if it works on 2.03 or not without you having to learn asm for a year...

Re: BomberBoy v1.2
JaggedFlame

it's still too big (i suppose there's nothing to be done about that but optimizing, and if that's done already...)... but are there enough good things in the game (e.g. less bugs than LAST time, better gameplay, etc.) than the last version to be able to sort of overlook that?

If you have an AMS v2.03 calc, which I'm assuming you do, why don't you load it on and find out for yourself?

There's no such thing as a failed experiment - only unexpected results.

well i did do that and it failed to work, but i asked whether if it worked with ams 2.03 or not because i'm not sure if its not working due to the fact that it is incompatible with ams 2.03 or the fact that i might be doing something, such as using the wrong type of os/shell and such.

bigdyna works fine though, and its faster.

I dont want to be mean or anything, but first I post a message on how BomberBoy wont work on my calc (HW2 AMS 2.03,) and then WashBasin asks if it will work with his AMS 2.03, (i hope he was asking about HW1) but both of these comments are ridiculed by Nick. I think that the "discuss" button is to discuss whether the game works or not, how good it is, etc. We both had simple questions (actually i had a comment) and then we get reamed about us not doing everything on our own. We are simply using the message board as it was made to do, I reported my findings whereas WashBasin asked about something. I dont think we should get yelled at for it..im done speaking my mind and I hope this message doesn't start an intergalactic war or anything.

hello, where did you come from?!?
bomberboy not work for the hw2 ams2.03, ahaha
it works fine for me
maybe if you knew more then just being able to press 2nd, "-", and enter you would have gotten it to work.
sorry if i sound a little mean, but c'mon, if i can do it, why can't you?
