TCPA Releases BoxWorld, Unsquish, Lite 3
Posted by Nick on 3 January 2000, 01:17 GMT
Even more exciting things have happened with the TCPA for the new year. Apart from the Ion modules and the totally revamped home page (featuring a comment board!), three new programs have been released. BoxWorld v1.1 is similar to the games Sokoban or Boxes. You have to move all the boxes onto a certain marker. This puzzle (see screenshot) is very addictive. Try it out for the 83 and the 83 Plus. It functions with the Ion shell. Lite 3 is similar to the original game by Tiger Electronics. This game is like Tic-Tac-Toe with a twist: as soon as you make your fourth move, the first disappears from the board. This can prove very challenging, with many possible strategies. Snag this one for the 83 or the 83 Plus. Once again, this game is compatible with the Ion shell. Unsquish v1.1: This nifty program has been updated to version 1.1. It should be a little bit faster now. Download it for the 83 here. Thanks to TCPA for releasing so many great programs. Happy new year!

I do believe that they have had the comment board for some time now =P. But besides that, I always like seeing new stuff =)

Great job TCPA...you're any puzzle-lover's dream come true. :-)
I think that NEcalc program looks very interesting and promising, and would prove to be very usefull...I look forward to its release.

Heh. I'll refrain from any rude comments about these being marginally better than a ti86 BASIC program and I will instead compliment the authors on making such good use of such calculators :)

Hmm...Lite3 sounds something like Blink...which I personally never got to work on my regular 83, nor 83+...hope this one works! :)

P.S. I'll do some illegal advertising...but, here goes:
We (www.basm.org) just released the Pokemon83 Demo! Go get it! It's awesome!
