Fission2 Labs Releases Schematics For RadioLinc
Posted by Nick on 26 November 1999, 03:09 GMT

Fission2 Labs has released preliminary schematics for their RadioLinc. According to the page, RadioLinc can link two calculators together using RF UHF frequencies. The device is very small and schematics are available on the site. It should cost between USD $25 and $30 to make a pair.

Hello,

3, but I do all of the work on the website myself. The others help with the projects, and do R&D. I maintain and design the entire website myself. I try to update it as least hourly from 3PM-12PM EST. I just had a computer breakdown, so I won't be able to update it again until tommorow evening.

Thanks

Actually I meant ticalc.org - but that's ok. Nice to know some people keep up on their sites!

does this link work w/ regular ti-protocoll? meaning having a pair of these would be the same as basically having a link cable b/w 2 calcs? so if this is the case, then the perfect multi-platform, multi-user system would be the MBus chat system. it was very recently ported to most calcs (sorry, 89). i have long been a supporter of the MBus and now someone can actually use it for a good cause. check it out

PLEASE, would someone write a good vt100 terminal program for the 92? It would kick ass to plug the radio link into a modem and have wireless internet. I was struck with sadness when i first plugged my 92 into my modem, dialed up, and Pine wouldn't work. If someone could just write a good terminal program, we all could check our email and use other Linux/Unix programs from our 92's

Please programers, please.....

Here's idea, though I'm not sure if it has been mentioned yet, have the TIV.Modem that is coming out by Fisson2 Labs be compatible with the radio linc. Then just find a place to plug the modem in near school. Perfect, you can telnet.

OUCH! After reading all of that, I am glad I am proofing this sentence.

I want a radio link when they come out. In fact I want about three.

Whoa, slow down their, magnetic sheilding? Who said it even needs that, slow down!

Sorry, never heard of Displexia, or whatever wierd variation of Dislexia you said you have. Dislexia usually means you spell things backwards, not wrong. I think a little english and grammer courses are due here.

actualy no it doesnt, i have been in english for quite a bit of time and i am in speshal ed. besides i am a person who is quite inteligent, after all in the other gameing communitys i am alwase greeted with some hostlity, but after people get to know me thay find i am a very nice person.

also, the reason i was thinking about shealding is even when you have speekers next to you computer that can mess up your stuff if its not shelded, anyway im just sujesting it

I have a rather dumb question.
I have been looking at different IC Trancievers for RF transmission as well, and looked at the datasheet for this product about a week ago.
http://www.nvlsi.no/nRF0433rev3_1.pdf
The application schematic is surprisingly similiar to the one that Fission2 Labs has released. Any comments?

Hi there!

That's absolutely great!

But when will it be available?
I can't wait...
Will it be the same as normal Unit-To-Unit cable,
only wireless?
Can it be used together with the graph-link to connect
to a computer ?
Does it fit into those translucent color cases ?

Thanx 4 the answers.
