Super Duper Pi Day Bonanza!
Posted by Ryan on 14 March 2015, 14:43 GMT

Great day in the morning! It's another fantastic Pi Day!

However, today is no ordinary Pi Day, no sir. As we mentioned last year, today is a very special Pi Day. Rather than our usual 2-decimal celebration of 3.14, this year we have the special opportunity to celebrate even more digits! If you're in one of those magical countries that operates on a 12-hour clock, you can even celebrate the special time of 9:26:53 twice today, bringing us out to 3.141592653! I can hardly stand it! In fact, if you're one of those people who really wants some serious precision, you can technically enjoy pi out to as many digits as you find useful.

Happy Pi Day to you all, and stay tuned for more ticalc.org goodness to come soon!

3.14159265358 is when I said PI that day. July 22 is also a good pi day.

So... knowing that suggestions were sent via e-mail a few months ago, is this news article going to be the last news ever on ticalc.org? :P

It might be about time to start a search party to find whoever kidnapped Ryan.

Or maybe get ticalc to hire extra news editors? Otherwise, since ticalc still gets a lot of downloads, this site might as well have the page layout options set to "File updates on top, news below" by default, since the archives are the only thing that are still regularly updated anymore.

It's not like there isn't any new release in the community this year, especially for the 84+CSE and 84+CE, so if there isn't gonna be any news in the short-term future, then I feel that maybe it might be better to put the emphasis on new files.

My 2.46 (CDN) cents.
