Axio Man! for the 83/84+
Posted by Ryan on 18 November 2014, 02:17 GMT

Before continuing with Nomination November, we would like to take this brief moment to thank everyone who has been sending suggestions for features and POTY candidates. You're the best! Yes, you!

Today, we saw the release of Jared Reeves' latest game for the 83/84+, Axio Man!. You might remember Jared's previous feature, Swords 2, a captivating and well-designed platformer/puzzler. Axio Man! follows in Jared's tradition of creating high-quality and well thought-out death traps for you to solve and eventually master. The graphical design is simple but clean, the level transitions are smooth and refreshing, and it provides just about the best noise that this news editor has seen. But what's design without playability? Nothing. Thankfully, Jared brought his "A" game here as well. The controls and physics are nicely done, and the use of interactive objects in the game world keeps the puzzles solid and intriguing. Essentially, Axiom Man! has everything that it should; fans of the genre shant be disappointed.

Terrific job, Jared!
