Nice it's much faster now. A lot of the people affected seemed to live on East Coast or Eastern Canada (such as Québec) and the problem had been around for over two months. I assumed it was something between us and the server since many people could access ticalc.org fine.

Actually, it was more related to what operating system you were using than your exact location. But the further away from Europe (Germany in particular) the easier it appears to have been to trigger the problem.

But so far, I think all users of Linux had no problems at all for example :) At least I haven't heard a report about it.

Did not have a problem on my Mac (maybe because of the Unix roots :P) either but I'm situated in Europe, so ..

Actually not a bad idea blocking windows computers because they pose a security risk. After all, the small majority of people that still use windows easily upgrade to Linux.

Well... I messed that link up. It's "Cro-Magnon" at wikipedia.

The only issue since the fix is that I now have to login everytime I visit ticalc.org since the site no longer remembers my login.

Maybe you lost your preferences cookie. Did you try the Your Account > “Reload preferences cookie� thing, or check Preferences and see if the Remember option is still set?

Ok I will try this now. I know the checkbox was still checked but I did not try reload preference cookies. I'll let you know later if it makes me login again.
