Cemetech Contest #12 / Doors CSE 8.1
Posted by Ryan on 17 July 2014, 03:02 GMT

As you might expect, our incredible calcs are an integral part (get it? integral? eh?) of STEM fields and, more broadly, learning and education. Given this, we're thrilled to see Cemetech's most recent contest that deals with "educational shenanigans". There's still no word if skullduggery, hijinks, or tomfoolery qualify. There's still over 10 days 5 weeks left for the contest, so there's still plenty of time to create new ways to drop knowledge on students! More details can be found within the official announcement. This is a great opportunity to polish up on your own skills and to help others learn as well!

In related news, we've recently seen the official release of Doors CSE 8.1 after some thorough release candidate tests in the past month. Naturally, this calls for an 84+ CSE celebration dance in honor of calc superhero Christopher "Kerm Martian" Mitchell!

Nice news, although you're wrong on a point - there is more than 5 weeks left for the contest, as said by KermM, it ends the 27th of August.

Time traveler's mistake. I had gone back to the future, although only to August for some reason. I forgot that I had later traveled back to July.

Thanks for the catch ;)

To be fair, there _is_ something happening in about ten days: we'll be awarding mid-contest progress prizes based on the contest topics people have posted on Cemetech. In other words, there is a very good reason to start posting screenshots and information in your required contest entry topic if you plan to enter. Thanks for posting about these two items, Ryan!

As one of the judges, I'm quite eager to judge some of those entries, as they look pretty interesting so far! I hope others can jump in there and further wow us with their skills!
