jsTIfied 1.0 Released
Posted by Ryan on 31 December 2012, 20:50 GMT
Many months ago, Christopher "Kerm Martian" Mitchell released a public beta for his 83+
emulator, jsTIfied. In
order to celebrate the lack of a doomsday and ring in the new year, jsTIfied
1.0 has been released. Bringing full support for the 83/84+ line (including Silver
Edition models, huzzah!), this release is a major step up from the beta that we saw at the
beginning of the year. The current feature list is as follows:
- Full TI-83+/TI-84+ emulation, including accurate display presentation
- Runs on all major browsers and operating systems
- Can take animated and still screenshots
- Load any .8xp, .8xk, etc. program or App
- Drag calculator files onto the jsTIfied LCD to import them
- Can export all files from the emulated calculator
- Integrated with the SourceCoder TI-BASIC IDE/editor, facilitating easy software coding
and testing
- Built-in debugger and CPU/memory view for assembly programmers
With that said, you can now feel justified in cancelling your New Year's Eve party, parking
yourself in front of your web browser, and enjoying a freedom from low battery
warnings.

Congratulations for the news, Kerm! I've used jsTIfied when it wasn't this packed off features yet, but I really enjoyed it and found it helpful!
This is also a very easy way of using a calculator emulator. You don't have to install a thing, or ask admin passwords to your brother. :P
A great tool!

By the way, should anyone be curious about what's going on under the hood, I wrote up how jsTIfied works. It covers everything from a high-level overview to design decisions to a walkthrough of executing a djnz instruction: http://cemete.ch/pr42#s2
