Happy Pi Day!
Posted by Ryan on 14 March 2012, 15:34 GMT
It's that day of the year again where we all load up our calcs with our favorite files, bake
our favorite delicious treat, code on our favorite computer, listen to our favorite song ad
nauseum, read aloud our favorite website... you get the idea.
As an added cause for celebration, our very own diabolical mastermind Travis Evans has reinstantiated the
archives of the old ticalc.org mailing lists, located here. Thanks a ton to Travis, whose tireless efforts keep all
of us ticalc.org users extremely happy, and happy Pi Day to all!

Thanks, Travis! Also, I have made for the past three years a program on my calc to train me for pi day competitions >.> I entered one for the first time today and won :D The previous champion made a mistake this year :/ Last year he had a few hundred more digits than I had this year XD

Happy Einsteinmas to you all!
And it's great to hear that the old mailing list archives are back! I thought they were lost forever. Apart from the historical value, there was a lot of good information posted on those lists - calculator hardware, OS internals, how shells work... Much of which has been "rediscovered" and posted elsewhere in the years since then, but still.
