Doors CS 7.1 and CALCnet
Posted by Travis on 13 February 2011, 16:30 GMT
As some readers may have noticed, Kerm Martian has released Doors CS 7.1 recently. This release features CALCnet 2.2, a reliable, fast networking protocol that allows any number of calculators to be connected together by simply splicing together link cables with no additional hardware required. Taking this a step further, the globalCALCnet (gCn) project aims to allow many CALCnet networks to be connected over the Internet with the help of an AVR-based microcontroller and PC client software.
Tons more information as well as screenshots, videos, whitepapers, and sample programs can be found on Cemetech's project pages for Doors CS 7.1 and CALCnet 2.2.

Thanks Travis! I'm very happy to be able to present these completed projects to the community, as they have been dreams of mine as far back as 2003 or so. I hope that lots of users will get a chance to try out these projects and write some CALCnet 2.2-enabled games (as several Cemetech and other community members are doing currently). In addition, if I succeed in writing a form of gCn to work with TI-84+/SE calculators over Direct USB, as many users have ardently requested, I feel that the userbase will expand significantly.

Yay! Good job Kerm Martian! I can't wait to write something for this; I've been too lazy to do so :(

I found recently a Error: I was programming a lot on one basic programm (archived+locked) and it got deleated, also another time when i programmed in home run hooks. It would be great if that Problem could be solved. And i have a new idea for the next Version: programming asm programms! :D
