Omnimaga Holds Programming Contest

Omnimaga is holding a programming contest. It is open to both BASIC and BASIC/ASM hybrid programs in the category of platform game (action, puzzle, 3D). Prizes are two 16GB USB flash drives. The contest ends on August 24 and more details can be found on Omnimaga's forum.

OK. I'm not that great with programming lingo; can anybody tell me what it means when it says it needs to be a "Platform" game? i can program just fine, but as far as these new societal phrases come into being, I'm lost. Thanks a lot.

just look at the wikipedia article on platform games, but in short, they are games from a sideview like mario or metroid (the gameboy ones)
