Rare TI Calculator Prototype
Posted by Michael on 8 February 2007, 22:18 GMT
Joerg Woerner of the Datamath Calculator Museum has been kind enough to share with us photos and information about a never-released TI prototype calculator: the PLT SHH1, featuring an OMAP 1510 processor, 16 MB RAM, and a SD slot. In conjunction with its PLT WS1 cradle, it also had 802.11b wireless capability. Joerg is asking that anyone with additional information about this calculator e-mail him.

well, that's very off topic
but in other news, Netham45 thinks that this calculator Should be made, as long as it is within a certain price range. If it costs like $500 dollars, than people won't buy it and they would loose money. but if it costs as much as an 89 then they should go for it.

I wouldn't buy this device, for its lack of buttons. Who wants to have to navigate through a GUI just to get to a math function that should be mapped to a key?

The pictures called something up from me - Is this project picked up by Apple?
I have took a good look at a Apple iPod Touch MP3 Player. The owner has installed a CAS to it, so I can use the iPod as if it is a PLT SHH1 or a PLT FHH1, but with a nice color display and built-in 802.11b/g connectivity.
