I would have to say these are all really good choices. And are all active projects.

How did BasicBuilder for the 83/84 family get left out?

What is the basis for saying that SquirrelBox is an active project? Is there a developement forum you could link to?

See link. It's newish so it's obviously still active. Even though the guy who's made it is away for a couple years.

Active? Look at the number of messages. There seems to be minimal activity since June, and who knows how much of it is spam...

There has been no spam for the last 50some messages. Overall there's hardly any spam at all.

Good to see someone involved in the project here. How is it going then? Is there anyone working on it? The latest available version isn't of much use, so to say, and I'd like to see it improved at last.

The guy who made SquirrelBox(Dan Cook) left for two years to do missionary work in May. I heard something about someone making a new compiler though.

Yea, the guy who seems to be modding the forum these days said a while ago that he was re-writing the compiler, in C, I believe.
This project is a sad story. It had great promise, but the developer leaving for 2 years has killed most development, although a random number macro did just get uploaded...

The only one I used was rom8x, and it works wonderfully now so I will go with that :D.

Yes, rom8x is a really nice Rom Dumper and it allows you to use Silverlink :D

Of course, TiLP can do Silverlink ROM dumps, assuming you can get it working in the first place.

Hmm, this would probably take a bit of backend work, but it would be nice if we could link the selections in the poll (where it appears on the main page) to program descriptions.

Where is SourceCoder?!

SourceCoder is not a PC program, it's a web app. It isn't offered for download, only for use over the web. If Kerm uploaded the web app to the archives for use on home PCs, then it would probably get featured (as it was mentioned in a news item) and qualify. Of course I don't speak for ticalc.org, I'm not even part of their staff.

That's what I was wondering too, and that's pretty much the answer I came up with. Oh well.
