Final Round of 68k POTY Voting
Posted by Michael on 19 December 2005, 21:54 GMT

Go vote now for the 68k Program of the Year! We have taken the top four programs from each of our two semifinal surveys and put the eight finalists in this final survey that will determine the winner in the 68k category.

In interesting trivia, one of the two semifinal surveys had "I have no opinion" as the winner. Shame on you lazy, apathetic voters!

Unrelated Update: ticalc.org now has transferred thirteen terabytes; triskaidekaphobics and 'T'-fearers truly terrified.

That is why you read the comments before voting and then make your decision. Or find each of the programs in the archives, review them for yourself and make a decision.

Or, if you feel daring, actually by a 68k calculator. :-)

Well you kind of have to own a 68k calculator to emulate it. Unless you wanna get illegal about it...

TI Emu can emulate a 68k calculator with just an OS. It doesn't NEED a ROM (it certainly prefers one, but doesn't require it). Those are freely downloadable from TI's website. I don't believe that you would be doing anything illegal, then.

Use TilEmu with PedroM. Completely custom-made emulator and OS, and therefore completely legal.

The AMS updates (.89u) are freely downloadable from TI sites, but the ROMS, (.tib) and (.rom) files don't. You need a 68k calculator to obtain them.

Yea, I was a little unclear there. I meant that the OS was free, not the ROM. Sorry about the confusion.

Um...even if you read the comments, you shouldn't vote unless you have actually tried the programs.

Hey that's why you gotta vote in the Ti-83/84 POTY. Wait do we even have those polls open yet? Anways if it's 68k voting, obviously it's for 68k owners.

The 83/84 survey was a few weeks ago, sorry. You seem to have missed it.
