File Ratings Added to Directories
Posted by Michael on 16 October 2004, 00:26 GMT
You may have noticed that all directories in our file archives now contain a column titled "Rating." For each file, there is a graphical indicator of that file's rating. The number of illuminated bars directly corresponds to the file's numerical rating, rounded to the nearest integer. The bars are color-coded to help you easily ascertain ratings at a glance. You can also click on the column heading to view the files in a directory sorted descending by rating. For an example, look at TI-83 Plus Assembly Games (Ion). Feel free to ooh and aah but most importantly, rate files!
Update: Apparently a few people are raising an issue that only the top screenful or so of files in the example directory have been rated. This is because the link is to the directory sorted by rating. Let's read articles more carefully, please.

I especially like how only the ones near the top are rated. People get lazier as the list continues.
