TI-Chess Adds 89 Titanium Support
Posted by Michael on 11 October 2004, 02:11 GMT
One of the best games ever, TI-Chess, has been updated to v4.11. This version adds support for the TI-89 Titanium. For those of you who haven't downloaded this great program before, it is a fully loaded chess game for the 89, 92+, and Voyage 200. Just try to beat the AI - especially on the highest setting. There's a reason it's ranked #2 on our top rated list.

Only two problems hinder me from playing this great game now:
1. I only have a z80 calc. I have to wait for another dreary 9 months for my TI-89TI to come. Though I can play it on VTI *wink wink*. (I'm EVALUATING how good this game is on VTI, so it's not illegal.)
2. I don't know how to play chess.
Can anyone help me with problem #2?

I actually have an old working version ("v4.00/e") that I download immediately after recieving my titanium (early july). If I recall correctly, I had to apply some patch, but its fine now. Still, I downloaded the new version because it is compressed (the patch I ran on tichess decompressed it). It is a great program... even at the easiest setting the calculator posts quite a challenge! You know it is pathetic when you are losing even after playing for a few minutes while the calculator has only been thinking for 15 seconds
