Programming Groups Hold Pong Contest
Posted by Michael on 21 February 2004, 01:12 GMT
Programming groups Greenfire and Maxcoderz are holding a programming competition. Briefly: You create a pong game for the 83 or 83+ using either ASM or BASIC. Based on several criteria including graphics and gameplay, the winners will be posted on the front pages of the two sites.

[Addition] ...and I thought the FLASH APP contest was pitiful. This contest doesn't even have real prizes; if the programs were featured on ticalc.org, that might be different, but I've never even heard of these other sites, it would be like posting winners on my website (yes, I know HTML is not allowed), that averages less than a measely 20 hits a day.
Other than my ranting, I'm glad to see someone finally hold some contests, and my salute goes out to you. It also gave me the idea to hold my own contest, and you can expect one from my website to be held over the summer, with all linkable calculators supported and T-shirts for the winners.
By the way, someone needs to review Vector Space.
