It's that time of the year

So. Today, exactly one year ago, we posted our latest "we're hiring" notice. Considering that both that round of hiring (which was Joey and Morgan), and the one about a month earlier (Michael) went pretty well, we believe it's definitely time for another round. This time, the main areas of work will be:
- Editing and posting reviews
- Checking links in our Other Sites section
- Posting surveys
Apart from the general helping out with the site. So, the requirements then. Since the main work contains lots of editing and writing text, you need to be reasonably fluent in the English language. As usual in our hiring, the absolutely paramount requirement is time. Most important is a long-term commitment. If you can do it 8 hours / day now, but expect not to be able to keep that up for more than a couple of months, this is not what we want. But expect it to be quite time-consuming. Finally, if you can increase the staff's demographical diversity, that's a plus - but not a requirement. We encourage people, both male and female, from all countries to apply. If this sounds interesting, please let us know at newstaff@ticalc.org. Please include the following information:
- Full name
- Email address
- Age
- Current level of education (finished or unfinished)
- Where you live (town/state/country)
- Approximate amount of time you think you can put into this per week
- Quick summary of relevant experience
- A quick motivation on why we should pick you
- If you have MSN or AIM or similar as means for us to contact you
We will accept applications up to and including Feb 15th. From previous experience, please note that this is not a paid job, it's all volunteer.

I am going to apply again this time. Maybe I will be accepted. I'll just say that I am a chineese woman, and I'll be a shoe in.[insert all manner of things ranging from "j/k" to smilies, to show that I am joking.]

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, but the staff made new star icons for reviewed programs. Cool!
Are there any spcific requirements for applications, e.g. os/platform, internet speed, experience, etc?

Just to be clear on the issue about diversity - this is *not* what you would normally call "affirmative action". The "diversity level" will only come into play if there are two more more applicants that are more or less equal in all other aspects. If one applicant is considered "better", he/she will be picked regardless of this.
