Shiar Releases Nemesis, Tim Buckingham Releases BlitZ Kernel
Posted by Nick on 15 October 1999, 00:26 GMT
More program stuff worth mentioning: Shiar has released an update to his great game for the 86 called Nemesis v0.94 Beta. It's a side-scrolling space shooter game, not unlike XC-1701 for the TI-85. It features powerups and rather fast gameplay, and I'm already addicted ;) Also, Tim Buckingham has released a port of his successful Blitz 2 application for the 86 to the 89 called (surprise surprise) the BlitZ K* Operating System. This set of kernels, written in TI-BASIC, has many customizable features and many interesting perks such as powering down the calculator. Anyone interested in TI-BASIC should check this out.

is this new port to the ti-89 going to be compatible with assembly games, and if so, will it be compatible with plusshell games. just asking.
oh yeah, beasty, check out the discussion in the super mario 83 news board. it goes into great lengths about why programers hate people like you who are always begging for new programs and ported programs, give it time, and quit asking.

You have WIDTH=100 for that screenshot which makes it look incredibly weird. WIDTH=132 might just do the trick.

Whoa! This game is great! The only thing that I can think of that even comes close to a downside is that I got a cramp from hitting the 2ND key too much. By the way, I hope that the complete version will have bosses and different types of ennemies in the same stage. Good job!
