Compiler v1.0 - Asm On-Calc Compiler For 89
Posted by Nick on 17 September 1999, 00:12 GMT
Dimension-TI was the first to report that Jean Milleron has released a revolutionary assembly compiler, appropriately named Compiler v1.0. Shockingly enough, the program is written in BASIC(!) and uses the Exec function of the 89 to accomplish its task. It's run from the command line like any normal BASIC program. Anyone writing 68k for the 89 should check this out.

HOOOORAAAY!!!!!
Go Milleron. I can't wait to try this assembler!!!!
(so, is it an Assembler or a Compiler?)
I hope someone comes out with a C compiler someday!

This is sweet: An on-calc compiler for both the 86 and the 89. Everytime I look at this community, things just keep getting better and better. What's in the future for programmers? Who knows, but we sure are speeding up to get there, eh?

Um...guys? TICALC.ORG has had an on-calc assembler for the 89 and 92 for a couple of weeks now, written in BASIC. That guy didn't get the write-up he deserved. It preceeded the 86 compiler by a week or more.

Has anyone here had a problem posting? Yesterday, I posted a message, got the reply back from ticalc that my message would be posted shortly. Today, my message is not to be found. Anyone else?
Later,
Tip DS
