Did you guys use Slash for the new format? For those of you that don't know what this is, it's the source code used for Slashdot.org. I know there is an old version available for download on their. Did you use some variation of this?

It does look quite similar, however all of our code and templates were written in-house.

Is it just me, or does the new format load slower? Also the preferences I set on the main page don't work (the My NS thingy is still there).

Be sure to choose "enable custom front" in the preferences or else it won't work. Also, you need to have cookies enabled.

Has anyone else looked at this page with Mozilla 8? I was wondering if I am the only one with slight display problems...

Someone sent us some screenshots, and I'm downloading Mozilla 8 as I write this. Hopefully we'll be able to diagnose it.

This new site looks nice, and the 15 letter limit is now replaced with a 40 char limit!

Yep. Comments can now take up the entire width of your window, so it's no longer such a concern. (For the record, it has been a 25-char limit for the past few months...)

Heh, you're saying redesigned the site and rebuilding it from scratch isn't real work? j/k :) Yeah we kind of... neglected other duties while trying to get this up and running. For example, you probably see a lot more of us on these message boards now.

Huh? None of our programs our supported. What we mostly mean is, please don't email us and ask us how to play ZTetris... that gets annoying. And also that bugs aren't our fault, even good programs like ZTetris lock up once in a while...

Well this is coming from a user who actually plays ZTetris... it doesn't lock up. Unless you happened to run an unstable game beforehand.

I don't think I've ever played ZTetris on the TI-82, TI-85, or TI-86 and had it lock up, ever. Jimmy really knows his stuff! (And so does Sam Heald, who did the TI-82 port).

It can lock up in link play occassionally, but that's about it.

Nope. The programs on ticalc.org have /always/ been unsupported by ticalc.org (and we have always said so).

This means that we don't write them and we don't use most of them, so if you need help using a program, you need to contact the author, not us.

It really looks nice. The old version didn't look quite right with a 1024 x 768 resolution or higher, but this is great. I am also pleased with the cookies. This should work well towards filtering out all of the nonsense posts. I don't know who came up with the Fake News idea, but It seems like a good idea for when things are going slow.

wow when i first came here i thaught someone took the time to hack ticalc.org cus the familiar blue bars on the side didnt load up as normaal but then i see this new and improved ticalc.org. keep up the good work guys
imho if you added a border around the comments to provied more of a contrast witht the back ground, maybe a black line around them

What are you talking about? I don't even understand. I didn't even post this news article. At least post this comment to the article where I was listed as *one* of the authors. And for gosh sakes for the last time I DID NOT RETIRE FROM TICALC.ORG. Go back and read the article. Yeesh.

And also, perhaps I can't count but I only retired from something once... Which was a mistake to announce...
