Staffing News and Screenshots
Posted by Andy on 21 June 1999, 05:15 GMT

We are happy to have Nick on our staff. We hope that you give him a warm welcome. In addition, if you would like more information on him or any of the other staff members, feel free to view our staff page.

Finally, we would like to thank all individuals who applied for the archiver position. At this time, we feel that we have enough staff members to handle our load. However, we are confident that we will at a future date be looking for more staff members. In that event, we hope you will re-apply.

Maybe the way I do screenshots. I have Vertual TI although I only have a 89 rom image, so I can only get screenshots for the ti-89. In vertual TI, you play a game and right click when something looks good. Take a screenshot of the little place where is says screenshot. You can screenshot in black and white or true colours.

I haven't quite figured out how to use Snap86 yet. Does anyone know how to view a picture on the 86, or how to view an 86i picture on the computer?

I know that TI needs more people on the team. I would like to volenteer. I will keep visiting this place, I don't give out my e-mail at comments. Are they taking more people? Want to work for free, that's me.

I presume you mean you want a job at ticalc.org, not TI. We're not currently looking for new members, thank you. We usually go out and find new members ourselves (I'm a lucky exception!). :)

I think for some games, that there are multible screenshots. For some there are only one. Lets try to put more screenshots in.

What about the ti86 screenshots. There are thousands of people out there who own ti86's and would like to see what they are going to play or use as a gui or math program, etc... Please take 86 shots.

The next thing we're working on is 86 assembly screenshots. The asm/games section should be complete right now =)

Yeah, I took a huge amount of 86 ASM screenshots a long time ago that I've been too lazy to put into the file system (esp. since it's not my job), so those should go up pretty quickly. Don't expect them immediately, though, since I still left a lot of work for Nick.

I don't know what to think about these screenshots. He obviously either took them a long time ago or he copied them from somewhere because if you look at the Mattpong screenshot and
then play the game, the screenshot is different and I haven't updated this game for a very long time.

All (count''em) 15 Joltima shots look new
Justin Karneges
(Web Page)

I checked the Joltima file info for the 82,85, and 86 sections. Of all 15 screenshots that I saw between the three sections, each one looked to be an original (that is to say, I didn't recognize any of them from another site or my own). Also there are no reused screenshots between the different calc versions! Good job Bluecalx!

Why does ticalc.org have two people doing file archives? It seems redundant and has caused problems in the past. Why not just have one person with several calculators and/or emulators do all the file archives and maybe assign screenshots to another person?

Only one person does the file archives at a time. When Phil is away for some reason or unable to perform his duties, I help out. There are never two people at once doing the file archives.
