Is it just me, or did you copy this idea from someplace else? I don't think that you have the right to post top 5 things either. That's wrong and if your not careful it could get you in trouble.

BlueCalx has the full support of both the operators of #ti and the general populous that attends there. He himself is a master, and he is generally a good guy. And the top 5 lists are damned funny, if you ask me :)

NATO F-15 -- George Limpert

Would all of the Bryan supporters please shut up if you don't have something relevant to say. This is about BlueCalx's hosted site, and if you want to discuss Bryan go to #lamers on IRC. This isn't about Bryan anymore so go rant somewhere else because you aren't welcome here.

As for the site, I don't like the style of the site and it looks like it took about 5 minutes in FrontPage. It's also really out of date. The site needs a major overhaul.

And as for the discussion about what news is posted, some of it doesn't seem important. For example take 'Orzunoid 83 now supports external levels' or 'PlainJump 1.3 released.' It is only relevant to one or two calculators and not many people responded to it I also notice because they don't care. Neither game is particularly good. Yet you completely overlook the release of SMQ 0.96 for the 89. I don't understand your procedures about what gets a news item and what doesn't. DIM-TI saw it fit to give a mention of SMQ 0.96. And atom is an idiot posting that ticalc.org posts what they think is important. They pass up a lot of important news. (respond atom, I dare ya... =)

Please, no flames.

Anyhow, I remember seeing the news item for the initial release of the SMQ game for the TI-89. It's our policy to only announce the initial release of programs, unless it's something very important like shells and such.

I never said I approve of the content that ticalc.org posts on their site, but I just said that they are posting what THEY feel is important. Not what I feel is important. I'd also like to call your attention to the notice you should have read right before you posted, which lists rules such as "Constructive and relevant comments only; no flames"

Since BlueCalx, who created irc.ticalc.org, is on vacation, I think I'll speak for him in saying that none of that site was made in frontpage and that compiling that much information and pictures took quite some time. I think you should appreciate the amount of work that goes into a site like that, and come visit #ti some time.

I understand the work that goes in to scanning those pictures in and compiling them. I just don't like the general look and feel of the site. My problem really isn't with the site, BlueCalx, atom, or you, it's with the lamers who like to post stupid crap on here and slow everyting down. Stuff takes a while to load on a 33.6 connection and I don't need lame crap to slow it down. I do apologize to what some are calling a flame. BTW: That April Fools joke is quite lame.
