IRC Survey Posted
Posted by Andy on 28 March 1999, 16:13 GMT

We're considering adding a section about the TI channels on IRC. To get an impression of how many people are interested in this, we have posted an IRC survey in our survey section. Please take time to vote. If you have forgotten your Voter ID or Password you can use the recover form.

That would be nice. There aren't any complete lists out there that I know of.

He means lists of IRC Channels... Here it is:

it's like DalNet or EFNet or whatever channels:
#TI
#TI-FILES (or something)

huge list doesn't take a vote... but I think TICalc is going to maybe provide a web based applet or something for the ppl who don't know what mIRC is.

Keep up the good work TICalc! you ROCK

All the TI related channels are on EFNet. There's #ti_files, #dimension-ti, and #ti. You can get mIRC at http://www.mirc.co.uk/

what about #calc-ti?

I personally suggest #ti, but I'm biased as you might know. On the same note, IRC is really a good place to learn and such, although sometimes we are less than helpful. If you decide to come, be sure to relax.

You are certainly right. I remembered two weeks (or was it 3?!?) ago on a Sunday when we literally gave out captions to the show "the Simpson's" as we watched along. Also, sometimes the people from the IRC channels aren't the most positive people either.

Its funny how they say that they are "considering" making one when they already have it up and running. It makes you wonder why they made a survey if they were going to do it anyway.

Technically, that is unofficial to ticalc.org. We are considering a web site integrated within our main web page. We also are interested in providing more basics for new users.

I think it'd be a great addition.
I also think Ti-calc should do another opinion poll of their site. To see what they need to add and remove..... in stead of the small individual polls.
