ticalc.org mentioned in The Syracuse Newspapers
Posted on 9 October 1998, 05:18 GMT
This site was mentioned in an article entitled Games multiplying on students' calculators which was published in The Syracuse Newspapers on Wednesday, 7 October 1998. The Syracuse Newspapers are a group of three newspapers based in Syracuse, New York: The Post-Standard (morning), The Herald-Journal (evening), and The Herald-American (Sunday). Besides giving this site extensive coverage, the article also features several quotes from staff member Bryan Rabeler.

I noticed that the article said that you could hold up to 7 games on you're calcualtor that was wrong he should have said that you can hold as many games as space you have in you're memory.

Hey, this is a little off track, but....a suggestion for TICALC.ORG:
Why dont you have a support group, like a forum to help people?
Now heres my question that is off topic:
I have a TI92Plus, and how can I get a program I made off of it, and open it in TI-GraphLink.....when I try it with F-Link, it does it, but TIgraphlink cant recognize it.....how cna I do this? Thanks....sorry to post this but there is no were else to put it. I am using the parallel link cable.

5 hours a day? That seems a little high, considering there haven't been any programs uploaded in 3 days; I know it isn't from lack of programs since I sent one in last week and it still isn't up. Also, like the person before me said and as I said in my huge comment on the TI Programming Alliance, a forum would be really nice.

OK. This isn't too big of a deal you all, five hours is NOT that much on average for someone who likes their computer a lot. It's kind of lame to call someone who obviously does a LOT of work (regardless of how much it IS) so that you can click on a link and have a 99% chance of getting what it points to. Be nice to Rabeler. Also, for the "contest" between ti-files, and ticalc.org? No one cares, just go to both. :)

Hey guys, it's not about anything but fun. Drugwars?? Never even heard of it and I live here. Oh well. For the money we spend on those calculators they better do something more than just help us graph and do our calculus homework. I think it's great to have games on your calc, it gives you something to do when you've got a teacher that can't teach. Thank you TI.org.
