GNU Hell on Earth Released
Posted on 12 September 1998, 05:12 GMT
Mathieu Lacage has released GNU Hell on Earth v0.16 Beta for Fargo II and PlusShell. This program was released under the GNU General Public License and contains commented source code. This is an example of a fast 3D engine for the TI-92. There are just walls in this version, no enemies or objects, and the program is also quite large at 19K. However, this is a good example to other programmers who wish to create 3D games.

GNU Hell on Earth is a new 3D world as Dungeon 3D or world in 3D...
I would like to know if someone plans to carry on this program and creating a real 3D GAME (with weapons, monsters...).
I think GNU Hell on Earth is fast enough to creat a game in this nice 3D world.

I was just wondering if it was faster than Daedelus is for the 85. I haven't seen it cause I don't have a 92.
We also plan, as soon as my team gets 89's, to make a smooth, textured raycasting engine. Do you think that I might ask you for a few pointers relating to raycasting and 68k assembly?
Thanx
