Plain Jump 82 Coming Soon
Posted on 12 September 1998, 03:32 GMT

Sam Heald and Ahmed El-Helw are in the process of porting Plain Jump, a game originally made for the TI-85 by Andreas Ess, to the TI-82. The end result will be a mix between the Usgard and ZShell versions. It will feature the ball size and speed of the Usgard version and the on-calc level editor and level loader of the ZShell version. This means there will only be one external level. However, full external level support may be added later. After the TI-82 version for Ash is done, it will be ported to the TI-83 for SOS. There are still a few bugs to be worked out yet, but it should be released in about two weeks. Sam is looking for beta testers, so if you are interested e-mail him.

Yay... too bad I suck at this game on all levels, platforms, and calculators. What would be really nice is an 82 port of Space War (the multiplayer one, not the crappy gay one that is already out for the 82)

Unless I've been hallucinating for the past year or so, there is an ASM Space War for the TI-85 (Z-Shell).

Yes, there is I am the author. If there is really a demand for this game, I will certainly port it.

Progess is going well on PJ. Should be ready for testing by tomorrow night, but I need 2-3 more testers.

I figured out how to get lateral movements working as well as tile detection. First betas should go out at 11:00 AM EDT(I get up at 10:30 so sue me). Last chance to be on the beta testing team. So far I only have 3-4 people.

Shameless site plug:
Go to icarus.ganymed.org to find the latest versions Picross 82 & 85 w/bug fixes and 46 new levels(making a 100 total).
