Picross v0.9 Beta Released
Posted on 9 August 1998, 10:32 GMT
Andreas Ess of Icarus Productions just released Picross v0.9 Beta for Usgard 1.5. This is a puzzle game originally made for the Nintendo Gameboy. The goal is to draw an image according to numbers. This may sound simple, but as the images get harder and time gets shorter, this isn't easy at all. This version contains 45 levels, mostly 8x8 but some are 16x16. Future versions should include more levels and level section, and maybe even a save game feature.

Two comments:
1. In Nintendo's picross, you don't need to be on a line to see the blocks in that row. The numbers are already there.
2. Is there anyway to see the numbers in the vertical column more clearly? Maybe leave a one pixel space between each dot?

Hmm, I'm unable to play it on my TI-86 with AShell, I'm afraid. >:( I wish my calc wasn't stolen. I'll have to get another TI-85 at this rate. ;) Too bad, because it looks like a cool game....
