Attention span: 9/10 Both play modes keep it exciting.
Controls: 9/10 Sometimes they seem sluggish.
Implementation: 9/10 Good remake of a great game.
Overall: 9/10 This is a great must have game.

At first look you might think that Tetris Attack is a clone of the game Tetris. While the games have some similarities they are not that closely related other than sharing a similar name. Tetris Attack is based on the gameboy game with the game name.

Tetris Attack actually has two games in one. They are separated by calling them Puzzle mode and Endless mode. In puzzle mode, you are presented with a layout of a couple blocks. You have to try to move the blocks around by switching two at a time. The object is to clear out all the blocks from the level with a certain amount of moves. When three matching blocks are next to each other, they disappear. The puzzle mode levels have no time limit and you can retry them as many times as you want. There is also a password feature so you can stop and start over later at the level you left off on.

The second game mode is Endless mode. In endless mode blocks starting appearing from the left side of the screen. They slowly scroll over towards the right side of the screen. You have to clear out the blocks before any of them hit the right side of the screen. The mode is a little more challenging because you do not have unlimited time to decide your move.

With both play modes this game can be very exciting. The puzzle mode levels are rather challenging and can take awhile to beat. In endless mode, you try for the highest score and you can always try to beat you best score.

"Tetris Attack" is a great puzzle game. It is VERY thought provoking and can be VERY stressful at times. Don't be surprised if this game leaves you pissed off for the rest of the day.

The "Tetris Attack" graphics are pretty good. With a great title screen/menu, and great in-game graphics, this game is a level above many other ASM games when it comes to good graphics. However, as good as they are, they still leave the game simple enough to use and play. You can see everything very clearly.

You will love playing this game if you love puzzles. With over 90 levels, "Tetris Attack" will keep you occupied for hours. This game is hard. It forces you to match up the pieces of a puzzle within a limited amount of moves. Every time you beat a level, the game gives you a password so that you can start at that level next time. This is a little inconvenient, but better than playing all the levels again. If you don't have the time or effort to play the puzzle portion of the game, it has an "endless" version that just goes and goes until you can't keep up with it anymore. Or until you get so frustrated you throw your calculator across the room. :)

This game's a keeper. If you like "Tetris Attack", it'll be on your calculator for a LOOOOONG time. I don't think I've really talked to anyone who hasn't appreciated this game and the great entertainment. This is not a "throw away" game. This game takes up a good 6k, but it's worth it.

The controls are very easy. You don't need to press a whole lot of buttons. Just the "2nd" and arrow keys. Pretty simple. Yet so much fun! :) If you need help, the game has a help menu for you. :)

"Tetris Attack" is one of the best puzzle games around for the TI-83+. I encourage anyone who wants to think between classes to download it. :)

"Tetris Attack" gets a 9/10.
