Attention span: 1/10 Zzzzzz Zzzzzz. Controls: 8/10 Just fine, but nothing to control. Implementation: 3/10 Er....Its small.... Overall: 1/10 Beam up this bad score...
If this game were a phaser setting, it would be "gentle summers breeze." I have only seen 2 or 3 Star Trek episodes in my life but I have seen enough to know that this game is horrible.
Let's walk through my entire game playing experience. I was presented with a menu where I could choose my ships class and ships of my allies and enemies. Ok, I've done that, it didn't give me a confirmation that the ships were changed, but I'll play along. Then I entered the "playing area." I was attacked; my shields are down to 85%! I attack, no damage. I fell back, the Borg were faster than me. They attacked, I was destroyed. This game is scripted! There are NO variables and the game is the same every time. So, to sum it up, there is no game play. Who cares about controls, a car with great steering (controls) is worthless without an engine (game play.) No graphics here, just text (and its all yucky "Star Trek lingo.")
Trying to enjoy this game is futile, and it will boldly go where so many games have gone before, the recycle bin. (Using corny Star Trek references was just too easy, I couldn't resist.) |
