(it would help if the readme were in english =) Controls: 8/10 The keys (with the exception of the aweful ENTER key) are in a comfortable position. Implementation: 9/10 This is really well-programmed. Smooth and fair for it's size. Overall: 7/10 This game is definitly worth a try. It is fast for a BASIC game. Selda is a Final Fantasy-like RPG where you control one character around a map and fight various enemies. When you first play Selda, it seams like a basic RPG. The graphics are pretty decent, but more importantly the speed is fast for a BASIC program. The readme file on the calc is in french, so good luck to anyone who doesn't understand french. The readme.txt file in the Selda.zip is mostly in english. The controls are pretty simple. The fighting is menu-based, and movement is controlled by the arrow keys. The ENTER key is used throughout the game on pauses, and also to bring up a status screen when not in battle. The spelling isn't great, but that doesn't necessarily deter from gameplay. Having to continually reach down to press ENTER is dumb, but is mostly unavoidable in BASIC programs. On point that would go either positive or negative, depending upon the player, is that the game starts out very difficult, although not impossible. The enemies you first fight are always in groups of two or more, and equal to you in fighting abilities. Overall, Selda is a cool game. Selda is fast for a BASIC game, which is the main reason for such a high score on Implementation. Although Selda has great aspects, it lacks a thorough storyline, and once you beat it, you probably won't keep it on your calculator.
