DO NOT MODIFY CODE!!! THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!!
I really like the quality of this but as a curious 11-year-old nerd, I wanted to see what would happen if I modified my save file. BIG MISTAKE!!! When I loaded up my save file, I went to look at my Pokemon, and when I clicked on one, my calculator froze. I could not do anything, It wouldn't even let me turn it off!!! The 2nd, Diamond, Shift, and Alpha keys would display that little icon in the corner, but that was it! So I took the batteries out and put them back in, AND IT DID THE SAME THING!!! The only difference was that it said "Privilege Violator" at the top. I GOOGLED FOR HALF AN HOUR (ok maybe that was an exaggeration) until I got the idea to take the backup battery and normal batteries out. SAME THING!!! but, I could see a sliver of the screen. I put it back in and i- Ok my hands hurt from typing now... lol by an 11-year-old... Ok, anyways, I put it back in, and I went to my PC with the GraphLink cable and opened TI-Connect and when I went to load a backup, BUT MY PC DIDNT RECOGNIZE IT!!! At this point I was praying I didn't break it. I did the same thing with the backup battery and normal batteries, and with the tiny sliver I pressed 2nd, 6, F1, 3, and Enter. (The buttons to press to reset all memory). I put the backup battery back in again, (Along with the other batteries) and thank all things holy, IT WORKED!!! I also reset it again just in case. So yeah, that was my experience of modifying the code and what you can do to fix it if my all caps wasn't enough for trying to persuade you to not do it on your own calculator. This was on a normal TI-89, (not the Titanium), so I don't know if you can fix it on a Titanium. DO YOU STILL LIKE THE CAPS? Ok bye, and remember, DO NOT MODIFY THE CODE!!!
[Editor's note - Glad you figured out how to fix it! I've been thru similar adventures. :) ]
