I tried this game fearing the worst, as the author admits it is not the best. It actually turned out better than I expected.

The game runs fairly quickly, but the graphics are replusive and the GUI causes alot of memory errs.

This is quite large and could probably be severly optimized in some places, but it is a good start.

I couldn't even get the game to start. the Tile screen is moderately OK, and the Main menu isn't that bed, but when I try to start a game, it gives me the screen but then it quits. The author of this program needs to improve it.

The author of this file seems to be somewhat schizophrenic, throughout the short readme he tended to swap between praising his genius and berating his own work. I'll save you the hassle to interpret. This game is SLOW.

Ok, so the premise is this: you saw the title "Smash Bros" and flocked to investigate. You saw the screenshots, right? Good. In that case, there is nothing left to see, as those pictures explain EVERYTHING. The graphics in this game are repulsive! An excerpt from the readme:

"No this is not one of those text based slow ssb games its a quick hyperfast and fully graphic ssb game."

Dude, maybe it should have been text-based game. If it was, we wouldn't have to question the control issues. This character ( I refuse to call him Luigi ) has about three attacks: fireballs, cape, and some "twirling attack". The fireballs resemble small, short range, gliding missles, the cape is just some shapeless blob that blinks, and the twirling attack is..... actually, I don't know what that is. You sort of levitate and flash a bit. The controls were incredibly unresponsive

If anything, this game was a failure. Something this bad cannot be improved, only terminated. The author must think hard about whether he really wants to pursue this project. As for the rest of you, don't download this. It's not worth your time.
