I agree with the previous review-that is, although it takes up little space, it isn't very practical. I could probably make the program myself in a shorter time than it would take me to download it. However, this program does have potential if it were to be improved upon. For example, it could display a "Memory Cleared" message, and maybe add some graphics. I'd say that this program would be more interesting—if not practical—if it were updated |

The point of this program isn't to clear the RAM. It is to clean up after sloppy programs leave behind variables. Resetting the as described by Hans clears all RAM, whereas this one mainly resets variables and other resources to save space. It also is better than other programs I've tried like this in that it actually deletes the variables, not just change the value to 0, so it saves space more than the others. The other programs, by setting the variables to 0, actually create the variables if they weren't already. This one gets rid of all of them, and they are created again by the calculator the next time they are used.
I'd say this program does its job, and it does it well. After I run this program, my calc is noticeably faster. I give it a 5/5. |

If you think about it, Clear is really quite useless, unless you are rushed for time. Someone can simply hit [2nd] [Mem] [2] [1] and manually delete everything - or simply clear the RAM after archiving everything they want to keep. A better name for this program would be QuickClear, because it is only useful to people who have hardly any time on their hands and need to quickly get rid of junk before their teacher notices. |
