ROOTS: This program calculates the roots for any index: 2, -3, 4â¦, 1/2, 1/3, -4/3â¦, when x and y in xây are rational . So the program then relies on general formulas. Other than that, the built in formulas are used. So instead of just one root for every index, you get them all, plus their angles, provided x and y are rational. ROOTS1: If the above program is mostly for the math nerds, this program is a useful subroutine since it is short and also, like the other, does not miss out when the answer is an integer, which often happens with the built in xây: 3â7^3, ( MATH 4 ) for example, gives an fPart = 1. Answers are the same as xây. ROOTS2: This is a short and useful program, which does not miss out when the answer is an integer. Can handle imaginary/complex answers as well.
