You, like the author of this game, are a nerd. Unfortunately, you've fallen in love with Helen and decide to take her to the prom. However, it seems like a long shot, something that would never happen. But hey, we all have rotten love lifes right? So try to make your artificial love life the best it can be, in my latest text-RPG, DateSim v.1.0. It's not just any ordinary BASIC program. I consider this to be one of my best BASIC works. Give it a try, give romance a try, and give DateSim v.1.0 a try, one of the better-written BASIC games.

DateSim is a good game but needs some improvements. I liked that it was really simple to operate, being just menus. But that is also its problem. I'd like the next version if there were some graphics perhaps your girlfriend's face during dating, which adjusts to the love rating.
Graphics: 2/10 - Just BASIC menus
Controls: 10/10 - Super easy navigation
Story: 7/10 - Raise your stats to earn money to buy your girlfriend stuff to take her to the prom
Game play: 7/10 - Every date is the exact same, gets really repetitive
Resources: 9/10 - Only 6k for a three hour RPG? Sweet!
Replay: 5/10 - I'm not going to play those date mini games again by my free will
Overall: 6/10 - A good game if youre looking to burn some hours. |
