Race to the Finish consists of 18 extremely short levels. These levels difficulty comes from the fact that the goal disappears after a short time. Many of these levels are creatively designed, but the overall effect is disappointing. So many levels require you to do something as soon as the level begins that the World ends up requiring more memorization than skill. However, since the third level provides as many 1 ups as you desire you can simply stock up on that level and provide yourself with enough to rest you the rest of the game. If you are willing to store up on these 1 ups, the rest of the world becomes trivial as you get as many tries as you need.
The reason I rated this level so low was that with enough lives, the levels are extremely pointless. It feels like most of the difficulty comes from not having enough time to figure out what you have to do. However, if you waste one life figuring this out, the level is extremely basic, even for a beginner. I also should note that it is possible to get stuck on the fourth level and be forced to quit and restart.
I would only recommend this level for beginners. Everyone else will probably feel that this level is pointless. |
