"Simple Pong 1.0" is just what it says-a simple "pong" game. There's a title screen, then you play. There is a small bug. If you just lost, and press [2] for exit, it will start playing again with your previous score. The only way to exit is by pressing [CLEAR] during gameplay. One other flaw is that there is no high score. There is a score displayed (goes up one every time you hit the ball), but it is not saved in the program. The author could easily make at least one high score save spot easily.
Another thing about the source-it uses saferam areas, so it eats your calc's ram. I recommend using .db statements, so that the variable would be stored in the program, not the RAM. Otherwise, well thought out.
Graphics: 7/10 average, but the ball is too big
Gameplay: 7/10 the computer never misses
Speed: 10/10 perfect; not too fast, not too slow.
Replay value: 6/10
Overall: 7/10 the source is well thought out, although the program constantly clears the graph buffer, which slows it down significantly, but the speed it has is perfect. |
