Attention span: 7/10 Repetitive, but really really addicting. Controls: 9/10 Sometimes you have to hit Enter when it would be easier to hit 2nd Implementation: 10/10 Basically perfect version. Overall: 9/10 Once more with feeling! This game is a classic!
Insane Game is one that has been ported to nearly every calculator in existence (renamed as SameGame on the 92), and is probably one of the classic calculator games. This version is completely true to the idea of the game.
The graphics, even on the low-res screen of the TI-83, look almost as good as the TI-92 version. It's completely obvious at a glance which objects are spheres, which are squares, which are +'s, etc.
Apart from that, there's not a whole lot to say about this game. Both puzzle and action mode are implemented with individual high scores, and there's not anything about the 83 version that distinguishes it from any other version. It's difficult to improve upon a classic. (I would like to see a version with the falling of the blocks animated, though.)
It's small, and it consumes hours of math class. Download it, and have fun with it. |
