Along with Surpasser's other offerings, this level isn't very good either. The first level is okay, but what I don't like is that the only two powerup boxes in the entire levelset are on level 1 and right next to each other, which means that if you die, you have virtually no chance against the Piranha plants on the second level.
I noticed how some of Surpasser's other levels are also incorporated into the game, such as a Mario Illusion stage in Level 3. However, since there is no 1up provided at the beginning of the level (again, no powerup blocks anywhere but Level 1) it is very easy to get a Game Over here.
However, when I finally beat Level 3, I found out that the last level in the game was impossible. You are blocked off by a solid wall of black bricks, and there is no way to kill Bowser because there are no brick blocks. I sincerely doubt that this levelset was playtested before it was released. The poor 3000 people who downloaded this levelset found that out too late, which goes to show that a lot of downloads does not mean that the item being downloaded is any good. |
