A as the description says, this program really does help you memorize pi! Within about a week, I was able to remember fifty digits instead of my old eleven. One nice feature is that it highlights your mistakes instead of just stopping at the first mistake, which is definitely less annoying when a mistake results from an accidental key-press. If you haven't made any mistakes, it displays the next four digits, which I've found to be much easier than memorizing a single digit at a time. Once you've entered pi again with those extra four digits, it gives you the next four, etc. Altogether, it's very easy to use and works well. The only part that I don't like about this program is the large size (2.7 KB), but judging from the source code, it would be easy to remove the extra digits that you would never get to anyways (there are 2000 total!) and recompile, taking off about 1.9 KB for the majority of people who can't memorize more than 150 digits. So, if you're trying to learn more pi to gain acceptance with the math nerds at your school or for whatever reason, this is the program for you! (10/10) |

I can honestly say that I am not a whole big pi fanatic, but around a year ago, I downloaded this program and in less than an hour I had over 100 digits of pi memorized, so it definitely does what it says it will do. I really do enjoy how the program will highlight all the mistakes you make after you enter in your value. When you have reached a number and you dont know whats next it will show you the next 4 or 5 digits and then you get to start all over :-)
All in all I would give this program a 10 only because it is extremely small and it does everything that it says it does without any bugs. Of course, you have to be a pi freak to want to use this :-) |
