Attention span: 9/10 Exciting; challenging; monotonous.
Controls: 10/10 You don't use that many keys.
Implementation: 10/10 It's a great idea for a game!!
Overall: 9/10 Animation would make it dominate!

Mech Warrior is a game where you name a "MECH" or mechanical machine, and fight different difficulties of other "mechs." When the game starts for the first time, the program asks for the name of your "mech," and your name. After that, it takes you to a screen dispaying almost all of your stats, such as how much HP you have, how many people you have beat and at what difficulty they were at, and of course you and your "mech's" name.

You start off with a "small pulsar," but you can buy two other weapons which are more powerful than the one you begin with, of course. The great thing about your weapons, is that you can buy more than one of them, and your "mech" can be upgraded to where it can hold up to 5 weapons at the same time!

Another thing that can be upgraded is your HP. You can only upgrade your HP up to 3000. I know that sounds like a lot, but when you start to battle the more harder "mechs," you'll need that much HP to win. If you happen to run out of HP, then you lose the match, and you have to start completely over!! :(

I found a couple of bugs in the program. I ran into a lot of "undefined's" and "dimension's." It didn't affect my information (my name, status', weapons.) Other than that, the game was fine. Oh yeah, I also fixed the ending to the game. lol. Every time you beat the game, the program is supposed to say "You beat the game!! You can finally retire!" But the programmer accidentally put two quotation marks in the "output" command, causing a Code 14 error.

I have to admit, for a BASIC game it was great!! It didn't run too fast, but at the same time, it wasn't slow either. The only bad thing was how much memory it took up, but what do expect from a BASIC program?? This game is very promising, and if the programmer can write it in assembly and add some animation, the game would be the best!
