“Battle Tanks” does have good speed but could really use instructions and some bigger tanks or different looking ground. It's a good idea, but needs a lot of improvement in the graphics and button department.

Graphics: 2/10
Speed: 10/10
Addiction: 6/10 It would be better if you could see the tanks
Playability: 1/10 I really think it needs in-game instructions
Modes/difficulty: 10/10 there are a lot of cool modes and the terrain generator rocks
Overall: 5/10 It's really impressive and plays great, if you can figure out how to play it.

"Battle Tanks" has a nice login screen, and a good selection of weapons. Unfortunately the tanks are hard to distinguish from their background. For an ION game, the graphics are incredibly crappy, and the fact that you can't adjust your angle all the way around is annoying. As another "Scorched-Earth" clone, "Battle Tanks" is not particularly original. The file bloat is also a problem of significance.

On the other hand being able to save games is nice.

Rating - 8/10

“Battle Tanks” is a fun tactical game, but there are a few downsides. First, the "menus" if you will call them, are just horribly inefficient. I sometimes wish I could skip that load game menu and start a new 2-player game with my friend as fast as possible. Second, the wind doesn't change, which makes it kind of easy once you get used to the effect of the wind. Third, tanks can't move, which makes it a lot easier, since you don't have to constantly guess at the power and angle of your shot. Fourth, the guided missile, if you practice a lot, can be a lethal weapon, but it can get annoying if your friend hits you the first time he shoots every round. And finally, your normal cannon should do damage to the ground instead of just none.

Overall, this game is good if you are new to games like this, but it is not the best one around.

“Battle Tanks” is really a great game. The different weapons, variable terrain level, and wind speed make it very interesting. The graphics are decent, though the tanks are just dots, like the normal TI-83+ graph point.

I would give this game and 8/10 overall, mainly because it gets pretty easy to beat after a while, and once either player has more than 99 points, the score wraps around to 0, which makes carrying out long games difficult. However, the saving feature is nice.

This game is my favorite tactical game for the 83s. You have many capabilities in this game, such as save slots and alternate weapons. Some of the weapons are the laser, digger, and of course, the infamous nuke. The graphics are rather basic and at times it is hard to see the tanks, though it isn't that bad. You have many terrain options, like the ability to choose the approximate wind speed. By winning battles, you make money, which you can then use to buy supplies. There are many modes of play such as multiplayer, target shoot, and battle mode. Overall this is an excellent game! Have fun!
