Suitability: 10/10 The first 82 ASM shell. How suitible is that? :) Ease-Of-Use: 10/10 Text only interface Overall: 8/10 There is a size limit, and not being able to fill your 82 sucks.
Written by Dines Justesen, this was one of the very first 82 ASM shells. It emphasizes ease-of-use and quality games. Being modeled after Zshell/Usgard on the 85 makes it fairly easy to program for as well.
The overall shell is fairly simple. This is not a graphical interface by any means. I'm not sure it even counts as an interface. The only information displayed about a game is the title. No size, no actual name, etc. However, the games themselves are very good for ASH, and they are compatible with CrASH!
There are a couple major downsides to ASH. First, you can't have a program size over 14K. Second, you can't fill your calculator, because you need to keep 1000+ bytes free or the 82 will crash. |
