OR, the 89 users will rub it in the 92 users faces that they don't need to waste any extra RAM on a shell like Fargo, update the OS to include geometry and conversion constants, and then pop in a SP Interface and toss the 92 users a nickel. Since the 89 has built in ASM support as well as being in an acceptable package, it's hitting the HP48 edge (although still light years behind)
And to clear up that old 4-bit issue on the Hp's, I finally looked into it a bit more. The Saturn is a 64-bit CPU with a 4-bit data bus. Simple enough explanation, it seems that the registers are broken down into fields as needed.
