is it a 2.5mm plug, or a 3.5mm (1/8 inch, common on consumer headsets)
plug? Sounds like it's bigger than 2.5mm if the metal won't even go in. If
that's the case, I think Radio Shack has a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter plug.
