Uhh...  yeah, on an *AVR* for god's sake, an 8 bit microcontroller
that lacks any sort of real bus.  That's about what, 1200 ns cycles
:)?  Yeah that SURE is optimized compared to the typical $50
motherboard's sub-70ns cycle time...  (lessee if I remember algebra I,
umm, gee, that's only 17 times faster :)
